Research Officer/Assistant

Summary

This Ends Now is looking for research officers and assistants to conduct secondary research on the complex issue of male violence against women and girls, feminist language, allyship, and other feminist topics as determined by the team.

Timeframe

We hope our research officers and assistants will begin their volunteer role in May 2025 and conclude by December 2025, with an option to stay part of the team beyond this date if mutually agreed.

Expectations

Our research officers and assistants will be asked to:

  • Carry out research on specific topics pertaining to male violence against women and girls, allyship, and other feminist topics

  • Help interpret the findings of said research and how best to utilise the findings

  • Inform the development of reports and training based on said research

  • Work collaboratively within the larger organisation to share research findings

  • Attend meetings of the programmes team and larger organisation

What we’re looking for

Our research officers and assistants should:

  • Identify as feminists with an intersectional understanding of gender-based oppression

  • Be passionate about dismantling patriarchies

  • Enjoy research and have solid research skills

  • Be adept at ascertaining the validity of sources

  • Have a desire to work solo and as part of a larger team

  • Be passionate about the powerful nature of feminist language

  • Feminist research and MVAWG sector knowledge is an asset but not essential
