Research Officer/Assistant

Summary

This Ends Now is looking for evaluation officers and assistants to conduct primary research through surveys and other tools to aid in the trialing and development of feminist resources.

Timeframe

We hope our evaluation officers and assistants will begin their volunteer role in May 2025 and conclude by December 2025, with an option to stay part of the team beyond this date if mutually agreed.

Expectations

Our evaluation officers and assistants will be asked to:

  • Help develop surveys and questionnaires to gather feedback on developing feminist and allyship resources

  • Help interpret the findings of said research and how best to utilise the findings

  • Inform the development of resources based on said research

  • Work collaboratively within the larger organisation to share research findings

  • Attend meetings of the programmes team and larger organisation

What we’re looking for

Our evaluation officers and assistants should:

  • Identify as feminists with an intersectional understanding of gender-based oppression

  • Be passionate about dismantling patriarchies

  • Be curious about differing perspectives

  • Enjoy developing precise and thought-provoking questions

  • Have a desire to work solo and as part of a larger team

  • Be passionate about the powerful nature of feminist language

  • Feminist research and MVAWG sector knowledge is an asset but not essential

Time commitment

  • Approximately 5 hours per week, with ebbs and flows based on workflow
